Joy comes from a very musical family, and music has always been her “happy place”. A native of the island of St. Kitts, and born to missionary parents, Joy began singing at age three. When she was seven years old, her family moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where her passion and skill for music continued to develop and grow. But through all of her experiences as a singer and musician, Joy’s passion to lead worship became prominant. Because of her musical acumen, Joy has had the opportunity to sing, record, and tour with some of the most significant names in Gospel music such as Kirk Franklin…as well as recording 3 solo projects of her own.

 

Joy was always a powerful exhorter whenever she would sing or lead worship, but she never felt “called” to preach. But then in 2014, a shift happened in her life and ministry, and she began to get many invitations to speak at churches and conferences. And even though she never been taught how to preach, God had anointed her to do it. However, in 2016, Joy felt like she was going to need more “tools” for where God was taking her, and so she was ordained as an elder in the Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies, Inc.

 

From the Daystar Television Network, the Work Network, and Trinity Broadcast Network…to several Woman Thou Art Loosed and Mega fest Conferences…to churches throughout the United States, London, the Ukraine, South Africa, the Caribbean Islands, Uganda, Mexico, New Zealand, and Australia…Joy has been blessed to minister the gospel through music and the preached word.
